Today we talk to Joe Sib a punk rock musician, record label owner and amazing comedian. Growing up in Santa Cruz during the late 1960s and 1970s, he was around for the early days of punk rock. Joe talks about how he got into punk, going to his first shows, meeting new friends in the scene and ultimately joining his first band. Our episode will go over his entire musical career. In additional to playing music, he started co-founded the independent record label SideOneDummy Records, which he established in 1995 with his friend Bill Armstrong. The label has released albums by notable punk and alternative rock bands such as Flogging Molly, The Gaslight Anthem, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
